Duration

Distance
Under 35 km
Most visitors from the USA start their trip in Dublin, and the first question is simple: how do I get from the airport to my hotel after a long overnight flight? This guide explains the private chauffeur option, what it costs and how the pick-up works, so you know exactly what to expect before you land.
What a private transfer to Dublin city centre includes
- Your chauffeur meets you inside the arrivals hall with a name sign and helps with your luggage.
- We monitor your flight, so if you land early or late the pick-up adjusts without you needing to call anyone.
- A private vehicle, never shared with other passengers, taking you door to door to your hotel or address.
- A fixed price confirmed before you travel, with bottled water and Wi-Fi on board.
Prices for Dublin Airport to the city centre
Journeys of up to 35 km, which covers Dublin city centre and most Dublin hotels, are charged as a set fare per vehicle, not per person:
- Business Class (Mercedes E-Class or similar, up to 3 passengers): €110
- First Class (Mercedes S-Class or similar, up to 3 passengers): €130
- Business Van (Mercedes V-Class, up to 7 passengers): €120
- Premium Van (Mercedes V-Class configured for 6 passengers): €140
Because the price is per vehicle, a family or a group of friends often pays less per person than they would for several separate rides. You can enter your hotel in our price calculator to see the exact fare for your address.
How long does the journey take?
Dublin Airport is on the north side of the city, and the drive to the centre is short in distance. The time depends mostly on traffic: it is quick early in the morning or late at night, and slower in the weekday rush hours. Many flights from the USA land in the morning, so plan for a journey of around half an hour to an hour depending on the day. Your chauffeur knows the current traffic and takes the best route.
Landing early with a hotel that is not ready?
Overnight flights from North America often arrive before hotel check-in time. Ask your hotel in advance whether they can hold your luggage or offer an early check-in. If your plans change, tell us your flight number when you book and we will watch the arrival time, so your chauffeur is at arrivals when you walk out.
